Having 10 keys typing skill is good to type the zip code, mobile numbers or simply calculate any sum. Although 8,000 KPH is a good 10 key speed a good typist should have minimum 10,000 to 12,000 KPH speed with 98% accuracy. It is measured in Keystrokes per Hour(KPH). Thus, you should aim for a typing speed of at least 40 WPM to keep up a standard level of efficiency at work. Most jobs do not explicitly require certain typing speeds, but that’s because basic typing skills are taken as a given. 4.) Find a comfortable position for your hands. When practicing your typing skills, it’s important to use proper hand placement. 1.) Use the correct starting position.Considering the stated years, that’s a long time! How can I improve my keystrokes?ĥ Tips for Improving Your Typing Speed & Accuracy On average, this is about 10 to 15 years under heavy typing or gaming. If you’re using a keyboard with a Cherry MX key switch, know they are rated to 50 million keypresses. Typically, the key switches in your mechanical keyboard last for about 10 to 15 years. If you want to be very productive, you should aim for a typing speed of 65 to 70 words per minute. What is the average typing speed? The average typing speed is around 40 words per minute (wpm). How many wpm is 8000 keystrokes per hour?īased on this, 8,000 key depressions per hour is about 22–27 words per minute if you type in English. TYPING TEST FOR LDC (1750 KEYS 10 MINUTES), 35 WPM,This time 2025 Key Strokes in 10 Minutes – Text Practice –. But, for most people, you don’t need to type this fast. This is the speed that most professional typists can achieve. Which is the same as 60 words per minute. What is a good keystroke per minute?Ī good average number of keystrokes per hour is about 15,000. As the KPH metric becomes more common, text data entry operators are now asked to have speeds of about 7,000 KPH as it is commonly accepted that text elements slow down data entry in general. What is a good kph score for data entry?Ĭompetitive speeds for numeric data entry are generally around 10,000 KPH, often as high as 12,000 KPH. It’s better to start slow so you can learn how to use your home row and type without looking. What is a good alpha numeric keystroke speed?Ħ0 to 80 words per minute is a good speed for the average person, but if your job requires a lot of typing, you may aspire to type even faster. Sometimes keystrokes per hour (KSPH) or keystrokes per minute (KSPM) are used to measure typing speed instead of words per minute (WPM). Therefore, 5400 keystrokes in one hour means hitting 5400 keys in one hour, or 90 keys a minute (5400 ÷ 60 minutes). What does keystrokes per hour mean?Įvery time you hit a key, you perform a keystroke. Since there are 60 minutes in an hour, 7000 KPS ~= 20 WPM. If we calculate with 4, then the equation is as follows. How many wpm is 5000 keystrokes per hour? That standard keyboards last 5 million clicks (most last anywhere from 5-10 million) with 6000 keystrokes a day.

They offered support, compliments, feedback and even worked with Katie in providing me other options within my budget beyond my expectation! I finally found my dream dress and gorgeous veil thanks to Katie!! Yaay I got to say YES TO THE DRESS!! I love how the rest of Impression Bridal team got involved during the process. Her kindness and graciousness made me feel at ease during the entire process even when I got undecided and confused after hours of trying on dresses. She kept going back and forth with the manager and seamstress to get my vision and dream for my dress! Oh plus the veil! She LISTENED and REALLY worked with my budget! Katie was good at thinking on her feet. We were met with smiles and warmth upon entering Impression Bridal Galleria! The ladies at the front desk gave us an exceptional welcome! I finally met Katie in person and let me tell you… she is golden! Amazing! You name it!!! So gracious from her walk, to her speech to her entire demeanor! I love that! Coz Lord knows I needed all the grace haha! She had several dresses picked out so we got started! She gave me all her time, attention and patience! Plus several options each time I hesitated about something. I was sold! Couple of days later I was on the road with one of my girlfriends to Houston! Even when I wasn’t feeling a dress, she didn’t give me attitude about it… neither was she pushy like a car salesman! She kept going back on the floor to take more photos of different dresses. She was so attentive over the phone, very cool, calm and collected! She texted me photos of dress options based on what we had talked about earlier. Katie took down my information and what I was looking for in a dress. My fiancé Ryan asked me to start with a phone call and talk to someone from Impression Bridal Galleria and Katie answered! Wow this lady was (still is) amazing from the very first Hello! I was panicking that I was late “in the game” and that I wouldn’t find something in my size as I’m petite and usually wear a size 0 or 00 depending on where I get my outfits. Mpression Bridal Galleria but I initially hesitated due to distance since I live in Dallas, TX. The displays would light-up and display cryptic codes (so the CPU was known to at least be running) but diagnostic codes were not accepted and the machine stayed in ‘game over’ mode. When we got the machine, it was not working, so … The usual Culprits … Connectors The scoring displays are seven segment gas discharge displays similar to Nixie tubes. In the backbox are housed two boards with Motorola 6800 processors: one to run the game logic and a second to produce sound effects (including voice – one of the first machines to do so). One of the intriguing things about this machine is the electronics. This page chronicles the refurbishing process including hints and tips I’ve picked-up and even circuitry to replace unobtainable, obsolete driver chips. She looks beautiful, now, and you can see the machine in all it’s glory here. Many little problems were fixed along the way including the ball ejector which “stuck” one out of every ten balls, a host of electronics issues including a strange bug which caused the machine to boot-up in a diagnostic mode, and “flaky” neon discharge displays which didn’t operate properly until the machine warms-up (it finally went dark completely). The playfield required extensive touch-ups (outlined below on this page), the backglass was flaking, and many mechanical parts needed work (primarily a through cleanup), and the backbox needed to be rebuilt with wood filler after a dog apparently removed the corner. The machine took a lot longer than a day, though, to bring “back to life”. Well, a day of cleanup – both physical cleanup of the machine innards as well as contacts and connectors, repair of a driver board (which prevented a bunch of lights from working: hard to play when you can’t see which player is up), replacement of about twenty burned-out lamps, rebuilding of the wood backbox (one corner was split and an earlier attempt by a previous owner to repair it with nails failed) and the basic machine works! The entire family went on a pinball binge for a few days and we just love the beast! I figured the game would be a good bet for me since it features 1980’s computer technology (including the 6800 CPU) of which I’m familiar due to my hobby collecting Old Computers. The playfield was damaged by drywall screws put in to prevent the ball from rolling into the gutters as well as between the flippers. The condition of the machine was, well, “neglected” but you get what you pay for and it was cheap at $150! As we got it, the machine was dead (only a few backlights on the playfield and the backglass even worked and the game did not run – even “attract” mode would not run). This machine, Firepower, is just slightly newer, circa 1980, and was designed by the same guy who designed “Flash” (Steve Ritchie) – the two machines show a lot of similarities and it “just feels right” to play it! While the machine is electronic, it has many “old school” features including electromechanical flippers (no drivers), and very retro gas discharge displays for scoring. As a teen, I played a great deal of pinball at the local roller rink – my favourite machine at the time being “Flash”, a Williams game circa 1979. It also increases the size of the market they can sell to, because as you point out, if a player doesn't have confidence they'll be able to play and enjoy the game, they don't buy it. Game studios do this not just out of the goodness of their hearts or because it's the right thing to do to make technology accessible (though those should be reasons enough). That way, players who are interested in the game but don't have the time, physical, or mental capacity to play the entire game on its default settings can more easily learn if there's a way to play it that will work for them, before they buy, and without needing to get secret insider knowledge from other players. “I processed a lot of it and built models so I could plot humans of different heights on the bike. Cox started by putting his own modelling together from anthropometric data. Of course the back story involves an incredible amount of time at the computer, and on the trails. The result is the bike, but also the setup guide so anyone can get the bike and set it up to ride the way we intended it to.” And that's what Ride Aligned is, it's those three things coming together. “Those three things cannot be designed independently,” states Cox, “you need to understand how they interact with each other. Starting with the Optic and Sight, Cox and Gaillot worked on a rider's fit on the bike, the geometry, and the suspension kinematics. That's the differentiation with Gravity Tune.” “What David and Arthur have gone and done with Ride Aligned,” explains Burnett, “is expand that into a full story of weight balance and your centre of gravity. Norco already had size specific characteristics within their bikes with Gravity Tune, which sees the rear centre and front centre measurements grow (or shrink) in the same ratio across size ranges, to make sure riders all get a similar ride on the one model, no matter what size they're on. They could adapt this to other bikes and other riding styles easily enough. “From the Revolver we started to fully understand rider weight balance for climbing and descending,” adds Cox. And that's why we ended up with the geometry on the Revolver, and the suspension as well.”Ĭox and Burnett also worked with Arthur Gaillot, a consultant who helps a huge range of riders and athletes get their fit right on a bike, and their suspension working as it should. We thought if we could do this with a bike, then a rider doesn't need to adapt it in the same way. “We saw a lot of similar trends, and riders did it because it worked. Why did they run long and low stems? Why did the put their seats so far forward? The first bike that both Burnett and Cox worked on was the Revolver, this started their push toward really progressive suspension and geometry, and it was all based on rider and real world feedback, not chasing longer, lower, slacker just for the sake of it. The Fluid certainly influenced what the Optic would be.” “And you can see the trickle on what we have been working on. “One of our previous engineers started on this with the Fluid in 2017,” Burnett said. Funnily enough, the conversation starts all the way back with designing the entry level Fluid FS, and the World Cup XC bike, the Revolver. I wanted to know more, so I got on a call with Paul Burnett and David Cox from Norco. Being able to really nail tyre and shock pressure, rebound damping, bar height and width, volume spacers and more, all based on your height, weight, gender and skill level is pretty intense. Norco's Ride Aligned concept and setup guide plays a big role in bike setup and performance for the Optic and many of their other trail and all-mountain bikes. But like any performance mountain bike, how a bike rides really comes down to your fit on it, and getting the suspension setup just right. So with the Fox Factory 34 GRIP2, new wheels, tyres and group set – it must ride like a whole new bike, right? Of course, it is super crisp. |
